About Us
Puyallup Transmission has been a family owned and operated business since 1976. In April of 1978 the business moved from a one car garage to its current location of 629 E Pioneer in Puyallup, Washington. Richard Massa joined the team in June of 1978 as an R & R technician and rebuilder. In 1984 he became the shop manager. Thirteen years later in January of 1997, Ricky purchased the business from his father-in-law. Ricky is currently the owner and manager of Puyallup Transmission. Over the years many family members have worked at the shop, but life has taken many of them onto new adventures! The current crew includes two transmission rebuilders, three R & R technicians, and one service technician. Not necessarily by blood, but some of these guys have been working at Puyallup Transmission for so long they are family now! Although the business has grown over the years, our goal remains the same. We continue to strive to be a business where honesty, quality, and fair prices still count. We hope you never have transmission problems, but if you do, please stop in for a free estimate!
